Seaton Classic Competition

This is a bit late, but I really enjoyed the last comp of the season at my home club, JB Ski! I had a great time with all my friends and the weather was good , at least on the second day! It was supposed to be a three event competition but jump was cancelled due to cameras and equipment not working. I was disappointed by this but it wasn’t the end of the world!

The first day was trick in the morning and some slalom in the afternoon. Trick didn’t go great but it was poring with rain and was extremely windy so I wasn’t expecting my best but was still disappointed. In the afternoon I had one round of slalom  in the heavy rain but the wind had dropped. I scored 5.5 @ 14 which I was happy with considering the conditions but hoped to to much better on the Sunday.

On Sunday it was just slalom as the jump was cancelled and the first round went well but I wanted to do better. I was determined to run 13 and only had one round of the year left! In the final round the conditions were perfect for me. It was sunny but the sun glare wasn’t bad and the was a gentle head-tail wind. Before I went out I was focused and determined and ran 13 for the first time in competition and then got 2 @ 12. I was so pleased and had a great time.

Thank you to all the judges and drivers for making the competition possible and to Richard Matos for organising the comp, as well ans John Battleday and Jodi Fisher for all the training and support.
